The information obtained through measurement networks facilitates major progress in the tools available for managers to:
- face pollution control episodes against spills;
- have tools to predict the direction of spills to know which resources should be available to reduce their impact on the coast;
- effective searching for people in the event of shipwrecks or falling into the sea from the coast using airborne and marine rescue resources; and
- forecasting the geographical arrival area of jellyfish and algal blooms to our coasts and beaches.
